Post 36 is the largest American Legion Post in Kalamazoo County. The post very active in the community. If you join, you will enjoy fellowship from our members, a post that actively supports veterans, a post that engages with our youth and schools and supports youth activities, a post that honors our past and supports our community. We do lectures, flag events, parades, golf outings, veteran information events, visit senior centers, participate in VA activities, participate in and hold golf tournaments, and generally have a good time.Post 36 also supports the Western Michigan University Army ROTC and it’s Student Veterans Group.This is a friendly, progressive American Legion Post that you would be proud to be a part of. There are things happening every month that you can participate in, if you so desire.Beyond our “cool” web site, we have monthly information emails on what is happening and meeting minute notes from both our Executive Committee and Post Meetings. These are on our web site. We do occasional buddy checks to ensure that our members are healthy. We use Zoom for many of our committee meetings and it is available for our general meetings as well.There are many opportunities to enjoy fellowship at the Post for both you and your spouse if you care to participate.
