Join the American Legion
To be eligible for The American Legion, a person must have served at least one day of federal active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, and have been honorably discharged or be currently serving honorably.
Proof of eligibility: DD-214 or federal active duty orders. Replacement copies available at archives.gov/veterans.
